Our Growing Family

Our Website Grand Re-Opening!!

Wow! It's been awhile, hasn't it?  It is a long story, but we had setbacks with the prior server we were on. This site was "lost" for a few months, and now it's back! Bookmark the new link!

Where are we.....it's May 15, 2005.  Dalton turned 8 on the 9th of this month. Teman turned 15 on March 7th and Layla is still 3 going on 33 :o)

I've been off Active Duty for 3 1/2 months now and working at managing my condition on my terms. I get a lot more rest than I used to and that helps so much.  Layla and I are together all day and we do learning things or I work on my online travel business, Talada Trips N' Travel....Talada is the combination of the kids names, by the way. My friend Deniece Mc-D came up with the name. I'm enjoying doing the business because I can pick it up and put it down when the schedule dictates and I love shopping for bargains, even if it's for someone else!! :o) I have help come in to clean a few times a month...these kids can tear up a house AND eat up all the groceries moments after I bring them into the house!! Wow!!

The kids will be out of school this week. Teman will go to summer school for the first half of the year. Dalton will most likely go to day camp.  They will go back East at some point to spend time with Nana, Big Guy, Aunt Tracie, and Uncle Collin.

Martin's doing fine. He's been active with his squadron volleyball team and off doing practice or games most of the week. The kids go sometimes to give me a minute or two of peace in the evening.  He tested for E6 and is pretty sure he scored well. He is also in the process of admission into his (hopefully) final college to knock out the rest of his C.J. degree. He is also considering the Army Warrant Officer program.
Right now, he is in charge at work due to the pcs season, the people separating, and the deployments going on.  This place will be "off kilter" until the fall when the final BRAC determination comes out.  Our base was one of only two in the AF that is slated for closure. The town is going nuts, but the military personnel are ready to pack and GO!!

Here are some new pictures and we hope to always know how to find our site and edit it!! ha ha....j/k...but I will make a try to update it weekly depending on how I'm feeling.

Dalton's 8th Birthday party-7 May 2005
at the base bowling alley. He had a Sponge Bob cake and gave out Army themed mesh treat bags with all kinds of cool miltary trinkets.
